they are afraid of the fall. No one is afraid of the dark, they are afraid of what’s in it. Likewise in fashion. No one is afraid of fashion, they are afraid of being laugh at. Actually I never had a guts on exploring and mixing clothes on my closet til I enter college and meet people whether personally or online. I get to have inspiration with them instead of copying their style I tend to have my own style. Some says fashion requires sacrifices, but I say otherwise, I mean being fab doesn’t mean you have to spend much on clothes there are stores who offer lesser price but same quality. But I never said that you shouldn’t buy those expensive clothes, i mean its never wrong to invest on designer or branded clothes and try to mix it on clothes from some vintage or thrift store. What matter is the fashion that give you confidence and comfort.
Mixing colors. So far I can say it’s my achievement when it comes on clothing myself. Before whenever I wear red top my shoes should be red and the same with everything. So I always have that different colors of shoes so I will not look out of the way, but now I can mix and match. Red and blue work hand in hand with me now. Never afraid on trying at the end of the day what matter most is not what other people say about what you wear but on how you feel satisfied and happy on how the way you look today, who knows maybe there are people out there whom you just got inspired because of what you wear.. :)

Just wanna share this lovely thrifted oxford shoes that I bought online. I never bought shoes online for the fear of not fitting on my feet since most of the online shop is a No Return No Exchange policy. A friend, who happens to be my friends relative who lives in Baguio and visits Bulacan every now and then have her own Online Shop where she tag me this beautiful shoes. I already have pair of oxford shoes but a flat one, I fell in love instantly with this shoes. It's pre-loved but in good-condition not to mention it costs 400 Pesos only. But its size is a bit extra with mine. But it doesn't stop me to buy it. I remember Anj telling me that she intentionally tag this picture to me because she knows how I love these kind of shoes. Pretty enough, yes. :) I've never worn this shoes since I bought it. hihi still deciding what to pair with this. The size is a bit extra for me, but I bought this 'thing' to be put on shoes extra large on your feet. :D
We love running. When we have vacant days me and my friends will wake up early and meet to jog at colinas(unfinished exclusive village that is open for those who wants to jog in the morning). Because of this, we decided to join any fun run, the first one was the National Geographic Fun Run, but because of busy schedules only my friend erica were able to join. I told them about this milo marathon that happen every year, we then decided to be part of this event. When registration is officially open I told them that we need to register as early so that we will be able to have our desired sizes for the singlet, so as early as June we're already registered.
You don't go at the marathon unprepared, seriously, you'll get muscle pains if it's your first time or first time for the long time. I asked them that we should go back to jogging every morning to prepared for this, but all our schedule doesn't fit and won't allow us, if happens to have a free day there's this heavy rain that won't permit us also. That leaves us to no option but to be unprepared. But then, we are still determined to attend.
We decided to sleep in one house together since the gunshot for our race which is 5k is 5:30 in the morning. Me, cez and harold(ecai's boyfriend) sleep in ecai's house. We didn't sleep early, it was I think 9pm and we need to wake up 12:30am so we can leave at exactly 2:30am, we live in Bulacan and the race will be held at Mall Of Asia which is almost 3hrs far in our place. It was fun, sleepover will always be fun, having not enough time of sleep and waking up so early is fun because its with friends.
Getting there is so easy though will takes us hours, but since it's so early there will be no traffic and we just need to take a bus. There's a typhoon and we were praying for a cloudy or much better sunny morning but it didn't, it was raining hard. Too many things happened inside the bus, many commotions and even 'mandurukot' is present. But it didn't stop us to continue. The bus we were riding will not go directly at MOA so we decided to just ride another and take a cab to go there.
It was as early as 4:30am when we arrive, there were a numerous runners who were already there, since a race for 42k,21k will start early compared to 10k,5k and 3k. Still, it was raining hard. We thought, as my younger brother told who joined the MILO Marathon last year that there will be a baggage counter for all the racers, but when one organizers told us that there will be no baggage counter available for 5k and 3k, so bloody hell where are we going to leave our bags during the race?? Thank God! Ecai's office-mates brought a car and to their kind hearts we're able to leave our bags and umbrellas.
The race start. The feeling was so awesome! The fact that it was raining so hard, the numerous people in the race, running with friends, it was really fun. I lost track with ecai and harold during the race, were able to see cez on the other lane and finished my race at ecatly 45 minutes, not bad. :D

Thank You to my older sister's camera, though raining we still managed to take pictures, because it's not usual for us not to take pictures especially on this kind of events.

We were so wet and very fortunate of us to bring with us extra clothes, yeah! we're always ready! :D I am so hungry and to think that it was so early that the mall is already close and very few restaurants and fast food were open to accommodate all the runners. We finally stop at Mcdonalds because it's the only fastfood that have available/vacant seats.
We all go back to ecai's house to eat lunch, rest for a while, get our things used for overnight and go home. I am so happy, overjoyed actually that I've been part of this event. It was a dream come true for me. I've been wanting to attend a fun run or marathon and it's part of my wish list for this year that I must do before the year ends. So fun run? checked!
I hope everyone who participate in the event were all happy even though some activities were not be able to give importance to because of heavy rain, we really wanted to stay and enjoy the booths, but we can't stay any longer because we're all shivering, and we(me and cez) because of laziness don't bring with us sleepers, that was so uneasy for us!
Hoping to be part of 36th MILO Marathon next year! :)
If you read my previous blog, I state there my goals for this year, as I'm saying it there's an event forming out, GK (Gawad Kalinga) according to wikipedia: which means to "give care" in Filipino, is officially known as the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, a Philippine-based poverty alleviation and nation-building movement.
In the Philippines, Gawad Kalinga is building empowered communities by people with faith and patriotism; driven by a culture of caring and sharing, dedicated to eradicate poverty and restore human dignity.
Its mission is to end poverty for 5 million families by 2024.
This time they organize a "Team GK Build in Rizal Park" Since our National Hero will celebrate his 150th Birthday yesterday (June 19, 2011). We can show our heroism by being part of the Event Builder by helping the event in organizing Rizal 150th Birthday celebration in Rizal Park. They'll be needing 500 volunteers for this event: a. Volunteers Booth Registration b. Marshall the 150,00 participants and c. Tour Guiding. The volunteers will decide to choose from two shift, 6-10am and 10am-2pm. Me and my co-yfc Ate Mays decided to chose the 10am-2pm shift. I was so excited for this event. Like it's my first time to be visible again in yfc-related event and first to attend a GK event. I woke up so early yesterday, as early as 4am, take a bath and join first my family to attend the Sunday Mass.
It was raining hard here in the Philippines because of typhoon "egay". I was tweeting since last Friday begging and ranting about the rain pouring hard only on Friday and Saturday, but definitely not on Sunday. But last Saturday, it didn't rain that hard only during Sunday! My elder Sister, ask me if the event is still on the go because rains not stopping, I said firmly YES. Because I never want this to be cancelled, I wanna be part of this event.
I'm wearing my nike white shirt and my Forever21 pants with my Old Navy Blue flats. I also bring with me my nike white jacket because of the cold weather the rain is giving. but then I'm all wet when I reached the event place before 10am at Luneta Park, where the famous statue of Rizal is located. There were a lot of people wetter than me. They look like they've just got out of the pool wearing all those clothes. I waited for Ate Mays, whom supposed to be my companion in this event. When she finally arrive we immediately go the GK booth but my feet my flats and my footsocks were all wet, its as if you put it in a tub full of water. Ate Mays recognize someone she knew, I forgot his name (I'm bad in remembering names if it's our firstime to meet) and he said to us that the event is put into a half-day because of the bad weather! I was like oh-my-gosh! But on the second thought, given the fact that we are all wet and the stage is very slippery and the booths were being dragged by rain I don't think so too that the event should continue, and beside they also organize a Fun Run, but I don't know what happened to that. So we decide to just separate because I don't think so I can manage to go somewhere anywhere at my clothes state.
So it's not really frustrating, for being not able to help them literally, I mean the fact that you already volunteer yourself ahead of time and that eagerness that spirit of yours that you wanted to be part of it and help is a big point already! But anyhow, there will always be a next time, though this supposedly-first-time-experience of mine at GK was cancelled I'm pretty sure for the next event that I'll still be joining and willingly to help them.
This is the official t-shirt for yesterdays event for all those who volunteered. Well, unlucky for us, the person in-charge for the t-shirt leaves already when we got there.
Some pictures taken yesterday as we walk back to where we will ride going home. This was one of the organizers way of letting people see some of the unforgettable and most memorable part of Rizals life.
I'm 22 years old and I'm not yet a graduate. No, I'm not proud of it, but I want to make the most out of it. I'm continuing my study at FEU-East Asia College under the course of BSIT, which happens to be not my choice, but not really the reason why I'm not yet done with my degree, oh well maybe 20% of the reason.
I'm still in 3rd Year College, and my past year since I stop were dull and unproductive, before the year ends last year (2010) I make a list of things that I want to do and fulfill for the coming year (2011).
I love adventures, breathtaking experience, and extreme sports. I also love children and doing some charity works. I enjoy socializing with other people especially to strangers. Ironic? No. I just can;t explain the great feeling when you're in a new crowd, different from you used to be but a crowd with same interest and goal.
So I made this list to keep me on the go.
1. Join a Marathon.
2. Join a Fun Run.
3. Be involved in a charity work: for children or Elders.
4. Tree Planting.
5. Mother Earth related: cleaning drive.
6. Be part of feeding Program.
7. Gawad kalinga.
8. Volunteer in any mission.
I want the satisfying and fulfilling feeling. I wanted to feel that. I wanted to do something where my heart really is. And I'm determined to do this goal this year. I hope someone here, who will have read my blog can help me and introduce me to some volunteer group or any activity/program that in need of people interested in mission, I'm very much into it now. Just email me or reply on this post. :)
I know, do things one at a time. But if your heart is there and that is really your passion, we can do anything with God who strengthens us. :))
