After our quick visit at Bantay Church we head to our next destination at Ilocos Sur, none other than, Vigan. Vigan holds so many history and tourist flocks here to witness it themselves. It's been one of my dream to finally set foot on this famous landmark of the north (sorry, I have to butt this in, "of the north" feels like I'm in the series of Game of Thrones, okay back to my post :P )
Our first stop at Vigan of course, is their Cathedral. Canonically known as Metropolitan Cathedral of the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle is a Roman Catholic Church. According to wiki, The church is predominantly in Earthquake Baroque style with large buttresses on its side. It also has Neo-Gothic, Romanesque and Chinese inspired embellishments. In its interior are silver-paneled main altar, three naves, 12 minor altars and brass communion handrails. South of the cathedral is a separate 25 metres (82 ft) bell tower with a weather rooster on top, which symbolizes Saint Peter. The only remaining Archbishop's Palace in the Philippines built during the Spanish colonization is located in Vigan, beside the cathedral. The church also contains remains of former bishops of the Diocese of Nueva Segovia.

During our visit, people from different places gathers here as part of their visita iglesia in respect to Holy Week. Here are some photos of the Church.
Visiting Vigan entails eating one of their famous street food and that is their empanada! It tastes really good but I can't eat two consecutively because its a bit oily. Pair it with softdrinks for it became a perfect match! :P
